About Plain Stretch Wrap Film
Plain stretch wrap film is a high-performance packaging material made from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), designed for securing and protecting goods during storage and transportation. It is typically available in transparent/clear form, with optional colors such as black or white on request. The film thickness generally ranges from 8 to 50 microns, with common variants being 12, 15, 17, 20, and 23 microns. Standard widths include 300 mm, 450 mm, and 500 mm, though sizes can vary from 50 mm up to 1500 mm, and roll lengths range from 100 meters to 2000 meters depending on thickness and application. The film is supplied with core diameters of 25 mm, 38 mm, 50 mm, or 76 mm (3 inch standard). It offers excellent stretchability, with hand-grade films stretching between 100% and 150% and machine-grade films reaching 200% to 300%. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of approximately 2545 MPa in the machine direction and 1530 MPa in the transverse direction, along with elongation at break of 200%500% (MD) and 300%600% (TD). The film features strong cling properties (one-sided or two-sided), high clarity for easy product identification, and good resistance to puncture and tearing. It provides reliable load retention, ensuring pallet stability during transit. Suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -10C to 50C, it should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Plain stretch wrap film is widely used for pallet wrapping, carton bundling, warehouse storage, and logistics applications, and is available in hand wrap, machine wrap, and pre-stretched formats with packaging options including individual rolls, cartons, and palletized bulk supply.
